KSM's poetry is clever, irreverent, challenging and funny. I hope you will find his own framing of the Flarf project accessible and provocative.

Philip's selection comes from a masterful historic-poetic which is a book-length poem. Following her earlier She Tries Her Tongue (which might be seen as the feminist partner to Brathwaite's Nation Language), Philip incorporates elements of conceptual writing and Language Poetry to complete this project, which I encourage you to check out of the library.

(An interesting book I just discovered but have not completed Nobody's Business: Twenty-first Century Avant-Garde Poetics, by Brian M. Reed might be helpful to those of you wanting to read more about Flarf but also about experimental writing more generally. If you access JSTOR from campus, you can download several chapters. )
